– Hey what's good guys? Welcome back to TechSmartt
for a classic episode of How Bad is It? If you guys are new to this,
I have two Galaxy S10+'s, in front of me and Ev one of them is real one of them is fake. But we're gonna find out how
bad the fake one really is. Didn't think I was going to catch it. Let's roll that intro. (dramatic techno music) So if you're new, make sure
you vote up in the I-card which device you think is real and which device you think is fake. We have device one, and then device two, but what's interesting about this video, is that this fake costs $101.

So if you want to check
it out, link's down below. And the reason we make
this is to make sure if you buy a used device
on Ebay, Craigslist, whatever it is, maybe a year from now, maybe three years from now,
whenever you're watching it, you don't get scammed and
you know what to look for. And here are just a few
simple tests that you can put any device up to and basically
find out what to look for. Here's your one stop shop. So let's get to it. For a $101, which is real, which is fake. If you guys haven't seen any
of the Galaxy S10 videos, I'll link that playlist
right up there in the I-card. When this showed up, and
this is the second one. There was some white stickers on it, obviously to get it to
pass through customs.

Don't actually know
how this one showed up. I say it with every device,
so basically every video, but for $101, this is the fake one and we're just gonna jump
right in and see what we get. There was no slide, there was no top. This was basically it. Nope like, there was no jokes there. And this is what the device looks like. So if you find in any Galaxy S10 or S10+ with this kind of front sticker, and then of course the
Olympic Sticker on the back, you know it's not anything
good that you want to be getting yourself into or your money into. But with the three
cameras right on the back that's what we're gonna put to the test and see with that being a new
feature on the S10 and S10+ how bad is it on $101? Accessories. This really thin piece of paper. Basic accessories included. It does charge with USB-C. With the fake S10 we're gonna put this one to the side and jump
into the real one here.

Seems like all the ones on Ebay, that's who hooked it up this year with all the Samsung stuff. We're gettin' it, we're gettin' it. Don't even need a knife. (beep) So it seems like Ebay, and all the phones on there have this free SD card, so this is what an S10
box should look like. Same with the S10+. Has the S10 kind of white stamp, or whatever color device you have. It's color corresponding with the font. So, Ev, white phone, plus, and here she is. So this is the Prism
White, not the ceramic one. The would be the move. You know what to expect. Wallbrick, OTG, AKG headphones, and then a USB-C cable. With these clones and fakes,
they're always getting better.

So whenever you see this video, the link down in the description should stay updated and
for $101 you get to see like different colors and variations. So on this particular model
it is a 6.3 inch screen, and compared to the real Galaxy S10+, that is a 6.4 inch screen, so that's just something to look out for. Eight gigabytes of storage with one gigabyte of RAM. So always interesting to
see what actually shows up. And for the colors, this
is what caught my eye. It comes in gold. Gold isn't one of the colors
they offer on the S10+. It only comes in five colors
that you'll probably see and then two ceramic versions that are a little more expensive. Prism White is what we have here and gold is not really an option. You have this Canary Yellow, but you can definitely tell it's yellow and not a gold from what other models
have had in previous years.

So with that in mind Ev, for $101, oh, you can go all the way
up to 16 gigs of storage. Takes an SD card so of
course you could expand it. $117 bucks and then
for full on tech specs, for features, Gravity Response. Ev, don't you wanna know when gravity's working and when it's not working? (whimsical music) Scares me every time. Wireless charger, Back
Camera, Google Play Store. So we'll test all that out,
and then you have Face ID? I think that's and iPhone feature? Interesting to see if they're gonna have the Ultrasonic Fingerprint, the
in-screen fingerprint reader that the real S10+ has, because that's definitely a distinguishing feature. And well, we'll just jump right into it.

I mean, I think the only
thing really left to do is see how bad the fake clone really is. So with the screen protectors on there, you gotta take 'em off and it always seems to be just I think time, but no one's really trying
when they try to make these and making it look somewhat accurate. So obviously I got one in black, they don't make one in white. You guys saw it on the site. But with the three cameras
that's one of the big things to look for this year on
the Galaxy S10 and S10+.

If there's anything less than
that it is definitely a fake, or it might be a Galaxy S10e. Probably not though if
you're watching this video. So with this, nothing
really else is on the back. You can tell the corners are really curved compared to the S10+. Looking at the thickness,
the fake is about 1 1/2 times thicker. I'd say a little heavier
than the real Galaxy S10. Things that you would definitely expect, you have your volume buttons
on the side right there, and then the Bixby button,
everyone's favorite. And then what is kind of
interesting is the power button's I would say is near the cameras for sure. Compared to the fake one
which is a little lower, and oh, there isn't that
whole punch in the screen. So that is one thing to
definitely take into account. Now at both phones are
unboxed, we're gonna put them to the test with three apps. The first one that is
kind of a dead giveaway is if your Galaxy S10 or S10+ doesn't have the in-fingerprint reader, or
the Ultrasonic Fingerprint.

So that basically means,
instead of having face unlock, which both devices support,
this one calls it Face ID though you can actually just rest
your fingerprint at the lower third of your phone and it should unlock. So to find this, just
diving in to settings, at the top, see if it's even supported. Going down to biometrics and security, fingerprints, add the pin, continue, and as you see on the screen,
just resting your fingerprint up against the phone. The one thing I don't really
like and why I've actually been using the S10e, is the
fingerprint reader is on the power button which is on
the side of the phone, versus in the screen. And for me I just like
that a little bit better. So that's interesting, it took
a little bit of time to find but there actually is a fingerprint mode.

So just rest your fingerprint. Okay. Fingerprints are both recorded. But before we test that out,
just looking at the time. On the fake phone, this is just something interesting to put in. Try to put in your local
city and see if it finds it. For me it only comes up with Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Shenzhen. So I try Los Angeles, it pops up, but then it doesn't really pop up. But the clock is just a
widget that's pre-installed, you can of course get rid of it, but on the S10+ it obviously finds it. So that's kind of interesting. Let's see how well this
fingerprint reader works. I'm going to try it with my left thumb. Well it unlocked with the wrong thumb. So I don't have a whole lot of hope. It just really works if
you press in while you also lay your finger on the
sensor or just screen. It works with basically any finger.

So fingerprint reader, not really. And then on the S10+, you just
kinda press in a little hard. It's still really responsive
and fast on the S10+. Bezels, no hole punch. How is the camera? Might as well find out right? With the fake first. And then the real one. How to they stack up? Not too bad. The fake actually looks the
best that I've ever seen. But obviously compared to the real one with the 10 megapixel and
the eight megapixel camera that's gonna stack up, and then of course, there's three on the back. So next up is the Instagram
test where we basically record an Instagram story
and then there's a mode where you can upload directly
to Instagram stories, through Samsung and
Instagram's new collaboration.

Compared to the fake
phone, there's a convenient record button right next to the shutter. So let's just give this a whirl. So go check the quality out
right after this video goes up. It's just techsmartt at Instagram. Let's see how these upload. So on the real phone it
automatically starts playing your video without audio,
but you can turn that up. And then to upload it you should hit this kind of triangle button. There's one on the fake phone at the top. Oh, that's good. It says publish right
to your Instagram feed. So one big telltale sign,
because of the Instagram, Samsung partnership
announced at the S10 event, is this whole share to
the feed or story mode. And this makes it supper
simple and also kind of helps polish off quality. It's not as good as an iPhone, of course. But it's not as Pixel 3 or
even Google Pixel grade, and that's what I was kind of hoping for when I first jumped into the S10e.

But what to look for if
you're picking up a phone is this Instagram icon right here, and it will obviously say,
share to story or feed. So if I hit story, automatically goes right in, queues it up. I don't want to hear
it, so you guys go vote what you think looks
better, compared to this. It just shares to the
feed, instead of the story. So, not totally off, but
definitely a telltale sign. One big thing that I think
is the clear giveaway with all fake and clone devices, especially of the Samsung
origin, is these bezels.

So if you guys missed it,
in the S9 How Bad is It? I'll leave it right up
there in the I-card. Same kind of setup, phone just looks a little different on the software side. We're gonna see how the speakers sound and I think that's a good test
to see if they've improved. I mean, obviously you're
gonna need to answer calls, if you still do that, probably want to play some music on YouTube Music, Apple Music, Spotify. So why not have a good playlist? Alright I'll leave it linked down below. The PBJams playlist. It's updated every single Friday, and we're gonna fire it up YouTube Music.

Both looks pretty good, I mean, screen resolution on the clone I'd say is no great than 720p. It's not the best looking,
it's definitely legible, like you can see what's on screen, but it's no Quad HD plus screen. Like the S10+ blows it out of the water, and you'd expect it, but it's not bad. I'd say maybe even 1080p. I think 1080p is safe to say. Just looking at the pixels
and you can tell up close that there's fingerprints
on the phone, but, yeah, doesn't look all that bad.

We're gonna start off with
the fake device first. See how that sounds. So full volume. Here we go Slushii, see
what you've got this week. (techno music) ♪ Intruder alert ♪ – Oh wow. That's louder than I thought it'd be, but not anything noticeable
over previous years that's like worth mentioning to you guys. It sounds like a fake device. So let's see how the same
song sounds on the real one. This should blow everything
away, like microphones included. (airy techno music) Sit tight. Buckle up. It's going down. It's way better, but how much better? (techno music) Definitely louder. Can't be terminated. Okay. (techno music) Let's hear it. ♪ Intruder alert ♪ (techno music) – I think the phone's gonna break there. Wow, that sounds way
better, as you'd expect. But much louder than previous years. Like, there's something up
with these S10 speakers. Might just be the plus here,
but they sound really loud.

Like way louder than I was thinking. The last test we're putting
into all How Bad is It?'s going forward, is testing out
how good the clone really is. So we're gonna be using
the Geekbench 4 app. I know, you're probably
going off in the comments right now, saying, "It's
not the most accurate app." Sometimes manufacturers
actually boost the metrics up because the phone knows it's
running that specific app. So for specs, the one on
the left has eight gigabytes of RAM, the one on the
right should have at least one gigabyte of RAM. But that's where we're gonna find out if there's any surprises. So accept it, CPU benchmarks, okay. Android 9 four cores.

So you see, they tried. They tried to get that quad-core in there, but only one of the clusters is running. You guys just want to see the score. That's kinda what I want to see. Let's let this thing run, do it's magic. This test is blowing the other phone away. This is the test we should've
been doing from the start. Both Geekbenches have finished
up and it's really telling just with this test, and
obviously why it's gonna be in every How Bad is It? going forward, is how telling the score is between the real phone and the fake phone.

So on the real Galaxy S10
we have a Single-Core Score of 4500, and then a
Multi-Core Score of 10673. 673 doesn't mean a whole lot, but compared to the fake phone, 415 on the Single-Core
and then Multi-Core, which is the four cores
working all at once, this is TechSmartt right? A thousand. So not actually, yeah
it's a pretty big deal. The phone's usable as a fake phone, but don't expect to be gaming too hard, watching too many videos. I think you could maybe
do one thing at a time? Compared to eight gigabytes of RAM, and that's what RAM really helps with, you can multitask and
do anything you want. And with Samsung's decks you
could plug the Galaxy S10 or any of the S10's in
and use it as a computer. Imagine 12 gigabytes of RAM in that Ev. Uh-mag-in. So to answer this video's question, how bad really is a $101 fake Galaxy S10+? Pretty bad.

I mean for a $101, you're getting sort of what you'd expect in a phone, but like most How Bad is It?'s, especially with the Galaxy S clones, it's not really that much. You're getting a phone that works, that can watch a little bit of YouTube. But with the Galaxy S10+,
what I really like about it is the full 6.4 inch screen, having that Ultrasonic Fingerprint
built into the screen. It's pretty cool and compared on the fake, it's there but it's not
keeping your device secure. So do these really compare up? Not really. Just the price. And now you guys know, if
you are buying a Galaxy S10 on Craigslist a little early
or at some point in the future, what to look out for, because these things really aren't changing.

It's gonna take a little bit of time. We're close though. Guys, that's it for this video. If you guys liked it, make
sure to drop a thumbs, get subscribed if you're new, and join too, to become a member. It's super cheap, and
there's one bonus livestream in every single month that
you don't want to miss out on. So that's it. I'll catch you guys next time..

. Welcome back I want to say a little bit about the topic In my opinion, this is anyone who can actually watch Probably the single most important video I see all the parties I go to as my family Now my wife and I are I live in northern California We are renting I have chosen I have family members, why can't you buy a house? You are on the scene That is the key to life There is a lot of pressure to buy a home When my friends asked, I replied: I haven't bought one yet Because I'm in the housing market Because almost one hundred percent thinks that they are going back to normal Why would they go down? The organizations I have discussed will work to prove this But I heard from real estate agents My friends are going to reject the post Because they want you to buy it completely Well, isn't it better to buy than to rent? If you have a mortgage or a mortgage for a house to live in This means that every month they make money with the bank It is a form of savings I think these come from a wise idea This is the rule Money while you're renting The wind will disappear in the field In this video I will work only on this assumption In fact, this is a small matter Let's say I have a choice Let's say there are two houses .

This is home number 1 And this is home number 2 Let's say they are houses of the same kind I live in three bedrooms; Silicon Valley with 2 baths It is a small town I want to stay at home like that It's not much different from the house I live in Because the houses are the same Living here is the same experience I can rent this house for $ 3,000 a month Or I could buy this house for $ 1 million Now let's talk about my bank account Let's say I have $ 250,000 Let's see what happens in the future Let's see how much money you have saved So what does the future hold? I'm renting When paying once a year Let's see how much money goes out of my pocket I had to pay $ 3,000 a year If I multiply $ 3,000 by 12 months, I lose $ 36,000 Then I will look at the loss Because I use it when renting Because the rent is $ 36,000 a year Yes, because I have nothing to do To deposit in a bank I didn't buy it Let's say I can save at a bank Suppose I put it on a CD And I got 4% So, what I think is $ 10,000 That's 0.04 In fact, I earn $ 10,000 a year So I got $ 10,000 So that adds up to $ 10,000 per year Good weather in Silicon Valley The privilege of living is Each year, I have $ 26,000 out of my pocket This is a promising prospect My family brokers Due to pressure from factory mortgages Would I buy a house for $ 1 million? Most people who buy me a house for $ 1 million But that's more than $ 250,000 I only have $ 250,000 So I need to borrow $ 750,000 So I made a $ 750,000 mortgage contract I'm going with this little idea More on that in the future It has to be complicated In many mortgage contracts, when you make a monthly payment If your monthly payment is in the beginning, It's just the interest of your loan Then your loan portfolio You will need to pay a little extra for the reduction Such payments are called rules You can only learn the interest rate on the loan But the interest rate is the same Essentially, if you're only going for a thirty year mortgage If you are paying every month, This is a little bit more than what you have to pay, and this is a reduction The simplest form of this statement is: You have to go with the mortgage contract Other bonus and debt laws Is to cancel These are the same ideas Now, if I were only 25% off, I bought a $ 1 million home I'll have a $ 750,000 mortgage I don't know what a good standard is, 6%? Let's talk about the 6% interest rate I told you how much I had paid in interest I have to pay $ 750,000 at 6% interest every year So 0.06x $ 750,000 equals an interest rate of $ 45,000 This is the money that comes out of my pocket If the monthly payment is a monthly interest rate, It means coming up with a new idea I'm paying about $ 3700-338 per month per month In fact, my mortgage contract sometimes pays around $ 4,000 a month So I have to pay the interest This is to reduce the whole value of the loan It will take about 30 years to complete all this debt Over time, interest rates are low There will be more rules The simplest form is the interest rate I'm paying $ 45,000 a year When I talk to a party That's it A mortgage payment contract is something to be careful about before paying it off The sum before the interest payment is calculated It was used as an interest on my contract Costs can be deducted from my paycheck That's less than the $ 45,000 I actually earned You can tell the IRS So if I say 30% before I pay the interest What is saving money? I can maintain 30% I have to pay $ 15,000 for taxes How does it work? Well, let's think Let's say I can earn $ 100,000 a year Normally you have to pay 30% Normally you have to pay $ 30,000 in taxes That is true Collected to protect the house No tax Now I have interest In fact, I'm one year old He told the IRS that he could find $ 55,000 Let's talk about my 30% tax In fact, if only these taxes were reduced The simplest form would be to assume that my taxes were $ 3,000 I am now paying the IRS $ 16,500 So how much tax have I collected? .

$ 45,000 coming in Customs must collect $ 13,500 in taxes So let's talk about adding $ 13,500 Now what else is there to solve for this equation? Can I get $ 250,000 interest? Fine No, not at all I have to use a spending deduction to pay for my house So I have no interest But what I have is I have to pay customs for my products In California, the property tax is Only 1.25% pay So, just 1.25 percent? So tax is a product tax In fact, if the tax is actually deducted Will be 0.75% or 1% Let's talk about 1% with simplicity Property taxes. Rest 1% times $ 1 million. That equals what? 1% of $ 1 million is another $ 10,000 a year in property taxes. And notice, I'm not talking about what percent of me mortgage goes to principal pay. I'm just talking about money that's being burned by owning this house. So what is the net effect? I have a $ 13,500 tax savings. I have to pay $ 10,000 – actually I have to pay a little bit more than that, but we're getting a little bit of income tax savings on the deduction on the property taxes.

And then I actually have to pay the $ 45,000 of interest that just goes out the door. So I'm paying $ 41,500. Notice, none of this $ 41,500 is building equity. None of it is getting saved. This is money that is just being burned. So this is a completely comparable value to this $ 26,000. So in this example – this example isn't that far off from real values. Out here in the Bay area, I can rent a $ 1 million house for about $ 3,000. But in this situation I am burning, every year $ 41,500, where I could just rent the same house for $ 26,000 out of my pocket, when I adjust for everything.

And then people a couple of years ago said, oh, but houses appreciate. And that's what would make it up. But now you know, very recently – we know that that's not the case. And in the next video, I'll delve into this, and a little bit more. I'll see you soon. .

– Hey what's good guys. Welcome back to TechSmartt for a special episode of 'How Bad Is It?' Basically, the show
where you guys find out real devices versus fake devices. Because, let's face it, it's 2018, – The future's now. – There's so many of your friends, people on Ebay, Craigslist, whatever. They're trying to sell you a phone. Chances are, you want a phone. But what you don't know is the real phones from the fake phones, and
that's why this was created. So if you guys haven't
been following along, make sure you get subscribed, or just hit it up on Instagram. It's just TechSmartt, so
you guys stay in the loop, and you know what's coming out. Obviously, the iPhone XR
came out not too long ago, and that of course means, there's clones. There's people that are
trying to make a fake phone, try to pass it off. And that's why we're here to find out, between both of these iPhone XR clones, which one's fake, and how bad is it.

So unlike some past videos, and if you guys have missed those, they're right up there in the
iCard, with the playlists, and I'll leave that link down below. In this video, we're actually
gonna go on DHgate.com, where basically, all the
clones, all the fake phones, that's where you can find a lot of them. So you're gonna see how
much I bought it for, I'll leave a link down below,
if you guys wanna pick it up. It's not bad. No shame to the site. I love DHgate, that's where
I literally buy them first. So, let's see what we can find. So, iPhone XR clone. So, that comes up with
three, four, four results. Now, check this out. Goophone, like slime, XR. And boom. So when you see some of these listings, some of them have minimum
pieces, or like order quantities.

So, the top one here says $77 to $90, but a minimum order of four. I don't know if you want four phones, if you do, a little sketchy. Let me know in the comments why you do. Ooh this one's actually,
this one looks good. Goophone XR V2. There's already a version 2 of it. This phone just came out. Here's what to expect. Do you guys think we're gonna get that? Look's pretty good, $114. You can just pick a color. We'll go with white. Options. You can soup it up. Okay, so that's just storage. $109? $104? Or $99? It's time to find out, how bad a $99, fake iPhone XR, really is. So, here we go. Here we have it.

You guys guessed right. The one on my left, the white
iPhone XR, is the fake phone. (gasps) (gasps) (gasps) – Gasp. – So, checking this out, you
can kinda tell which phone has been through a war zone. It's crazy to say it, the phone literally shows
up damaged, like this. The box, all beaten. It was bubble wrapped? I've been doing these video for a while, crazy to say, TechSmartt
will be eight years old. – So you just gon'
bring me a birthday gift on my birthday, to my birthday party, on my birthday, with a birthday gift.

– Happy Birthday? – In just a few weeks, but,
I don't know why the box always gets like this. So, the red eye from XR is obviously real. You can tell when you stack
the boxes up side-by-side. A real iPhone XR box, is slightly larger. On the back though, is of
course where you can tell. If you ever see a box
that's blank, it's a fake, get out of there. That's just sketchy. It should say the capacity. It should tell you,
obviously, what it includes.

The type of phone, how
large it is, the color. Really, all there is left to
do is just jump into each box. So, I've done an iPhone
XR unboxing before. With ASMR, if you guys wanna stab, right up there in the iCard. That was so much fun. The craziest 30 minutes
you'll ever hear in your life. We get our fake pamphlet. It's like maybe there's a huge market that I don't know about, of people that just love to use clones.

I'm honestly about it. You guys let me know. Let me know in the comments
if you want me to try out a clone, for like a month. See how it really is and
what the experience is like. Cause yeah, we knock it. But don't really knock it
unless you've tried it, right? So, the phone doesn't come
with a screen protector. Okay, it does. But there's a plastic bag. Obviously, you have the
most sketchy, USB brick. Ooh, these actually look legit. Over the years, the lightning
(laughing) ear pods, have always been– (ear pods rattle) You hear how hollow that is? It's not cause it's clinking against this. I take it back. – I immediately regret this decision. – And then, a lightning cable.

So, that's what you get on the fake phone. Let's see what comes on a real iPhone XR. So at the top, you'll see
design by Apple in California. You should get four pieces of paper. And then, obviously, you get the phone with that classic screen protector. There's that tab. (plastic crunching) Pretty good looking phone. The iPhone XR is my
favorite phone right now. Still swearin' by it. Gotta few of them. You guys know, there's been a
ton of giveaways on Instagram. It's just TechSmartt. Obviously, the lightning ear pods, different case, not in a plastic tin. But something more paper. Lightning cable, and then,
also a two-toned Apple brick. But, no more sticker. So, this is what you can look
for in a real iPhone X box. So, when you pick both phones
up, just look at the finish.

One has a really polished, shiny effect. The other, obviously is anodized aluminum. Kinda interesting. And then, lightning ports at the bottom, you can see the speaker cut-outs, power button, on. Ooh, so check this out. Where your power button is, and this is a dead giveaway, this is exactly what we look for. With the power button, it's
in the same spot as always. Right? It's a repurposed device. I guarantee this is an iPhone
X, somewhere in a past life. It's a larger lens on the fake
phone, than on the real deal.

It's got a Two Tone flash
that you can really see compared to the real XR. And with the volume buttons, let's see. The mute switch is just lopsided. Only thing left to do is
to turn these guys on. Weight feels about the same. I'm starting to notice a
trend with these fake phones. Once you go ahead and turn it on once, or charge it up once, doesn't typically like to charge after. – Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? – So, this is crazy. This is actually a world's
first for 'How Bad Is It?'. I've been trying to
charge the fake iPhone XR for the last 10 minutes. I'm gonna pull it off the
charger, and try to power it on. It says it is wireless charging. But, I don't think that means a whole lot. When the normal way of charging through the lightning
port, isn't even working. So, maybe that will boot it
into, like a, developer mode. It's not looking good. So, I don't wanna say I jinxed myself. But, I actually ordered
the yellow iPhone XR, Just as a back-up. So now we wait.

So, finally it is here. The second fake iPhone XR. This time, for $112. So, on my right, is the real iPhone XR. Then on my left, is the $112 one. Let's quickly unbox this thing. We already did it once, let's see what's
different the second time. So, right smack dab in the middle, we get one piece of paper. That's gotta be an all-time-low. ♪ I've got your picture ♪ Alright. We get to learn how to use fake Face ID. That's solid. Alright, and then here
is the fake iPhone XR. Interesting. Gotta love the Olympic symbol. That just says, hey. Nothings wrong here. – Nothing to see here. – We got the ear pods, lightning cable. Now let's see about this Apple brick. Looks a little less sketchy. There's no dot. So, pretty convincing
on the accessories side. But that's really easy to master.

What you're here for, is the iPhone XR. That's actually not super bad. This is hard to tell. Your True Tone flash, looks
a little bit more flush. If you guys couldn't have
guessed, this is the real one. The left one is the fake one. That'll stay consistent
throughout the rest of the video. Just so you guys, don't really have to
pay attention too much. Let's face it. You're here, because you wanna
see a fake phone power on. Ooh, so let's swipe up. It's got a little bit of
a lag there, not too bad. So just looking at the two
phones, the one on the right has a glass screen protector,
installed from Apple.

Really similar, if I'm just
looking at it from weight. It would be hard to tell, and just looking at the
volume buttons here. Pretty tough. Pretty close, this is definitely one
of the better fakes, that I've personally seen. Both take lightning, so,
speaker grills look really good, power button looks really
good, back looks, really good. From a camera side, I mean, we immediately gotta jump
in and test this out. They nailed four out
of the five at the top. There is no HDR toggle. Time-lapse, slo-mo. On Apple's, you can't
really see all of them from at a glance, but, I'm guessing they
just cannot do that. Or maybe it'll show up
on the third version. You guys never know. Drop a like if you guys want
me to stay with the fake phones and keep this 'How Bad
Is It?' series going. So let's take a photo. Not the worst looking image. Can I toggle exposure? No. So, the sun comes up. You guys know that trick,
if you don't, try it out. You just tap the screen,
and you can actually slide your finger down.

And that'll control the exposure on it. Can I zoom? No. Zoom is one, two x. So, that's definitely
something to keep in mind. The iPhone XR does not
have a variable zoom. That's why it only has one camera. I gotta try out this front facing camera. So, on the fake one first. (shutter clicking) Then on the real one. Honestly, not bad, with how responsive, the fake one is. Some of these phones, they
take forever to load up. But this one's actually, semi-fast. I wouldn't call it a
daily driver material.

But, I wouldn't call it the
worst fake phone for $112. And believe me, I've
seen a lot. (laughing) I've seen all the phones, and the worst, and the ones that don't even turn on. – I'm not mad. – You can tell there's a
thick bezel at the bottom, versus obviously, on the iPhone XR. They got it pretty much figured out.

LCD versus I'm guessing what's LCD. Not super bad. Another thing to look
for, whether it's an Ebay, or a Craigslist deal,
always check the settings. And if it's on Ebay or an online site, get them to send you photos of it. Because you when you look
at both these devices, you can definitely tell,
there are some typos. So, on the fake phone, here. If you look just a little close, you'll see it says Apple ID, iCound. So, iCound is a thing? App Store is spelled right. Just really look at the spelling. Jumping into Face ID on a normal phone, you'll have to do your passcode, and then once you're in there, it shouldn't say any symbol in the middle. Don't really know what that's about. But I'm gonna hit add a face. This is what the screen
says on a fake phone.

It should have little
notches around the outside, and really outer edges. So, lemme see how accurate this one is. So you just hold it up to your face, and it just loaded all the way up to 100%. So this what real Face ID will look like. You'll see these notches. So now that Face ID is
set-up on the fake phone, and the real phone. Let's see which unlocks faster. Not bad. The fake phone, surprisingly found it. Let me cover up the camera
on the front, and see. It's immediately asking
me for my passcode. That means it knows. But, like right there,
it's not finding it. Like, no shot at all. And then, when I really hold
it up to my face, it finds it. So that's obviously something to look for. If it takes more than
one try to get your phone with your face, chances
are it's probably a fake. (bird chirping) So, finally, we're gonna listen to a song on Spotify and YouTube, and
where it kinda got weird is, on the App Store. So, it's not like your
traditional App Store, that's one thing you
should definitely look for.

Just hop right on in. If that's the one thing you can check out, and you only have 10 seconds before that guy's gotta head outta Starbucks. – Gotta blast! – Look for the App Store. Because what you see here, is not like the regular App Store, where you have Apps, Categories, everything just looks kinda normal. On here, it's got Boutique, Download Most, Popular Most, and at the
top is the Play Store. So, I was not able to find
another Play Store App anywhere on this device,
not on the Home Screen, or anything like that.

So this is kinda the back-end
way into the Play Store. And then, when you go, like for example I wanna download Spotify. It just doesn't really download. So, the only Apps you have
an option to check out are ones that are
pre-installed on Android. If I wanna go check out
YouTube, I can hit open. And then, it takes me to the YouTube App. So I'm basically having to
go outside, to go inside. And honestly, I'm just
not living la vida loca. ♪ Upside, inside out ♪ And now, it says open? This fake phone is full of
mysteries, in this video too. So, is it an App on my Home Screen? It is. That took, really long
to generate just an App. I wanna know what it looks like. Okay, so that took way longer
than I thought, as always. Basically, I had to go create
a fresh Spotify account on the App, because it wasn't
accepting my real login info.

So you know something sketchy's going on. And, since it's a free account, I can't actually see the playlist. So, if you guys wanted to
check it out, PBJams playlist. Link down below. Updated every single Thursday night. For your Friday experience. So, let's check this out and
see how good the speakers are. Here is, Alone. ("Alone" by Alan Walker) Is it clipping the speaker? Doesn't sound that bad. Until, I hear it on a real iPhone XR. ("Alone" by Alan Walker) Definitely louder.

This one's not bad. So, there's no crackling. Sounds way better, you've hear it from AV. So, that's definitely
something to look for, just the speaker quality, and then let's just check out YouTube. I mean, to go to YouTube, we
have to go the Play Store. Alright, so we're going
to YouTube, to update. I think a YouTube App, might just pop-up. So, it's finally all coming together now. Here's what to look for, if you might be suspecting
your iPhone XR, is fake. Well, next to Spotify,
we have our Videos tab. What's in there, right? Well that's YouTube. So, they're trying to get
clever and hide it a little bit. I'm just gonna search up TechSmartt, I wanna watch a Wish video. If you guys missed out, the new Wish Busters season just dropped. No way. Episode one is right
up there in the iCard, or linked down below. Let's see how this looks. (chattering from videos) Doesn't look bad.

Oh. Ooh. I actually am surprised. And obviously because YouTube, the App, is playing the video. You're gonna get a higher quality video. And it is kinda hard to tell
which is the real phone, and which is the fake phone. Because both of these devices
have LCDs, instead of OLEDs. So, this one's the fake one,
this one's the real one. This was the closest test yet.

And honestly, the best one
I have done on a fake phone. Not bad, for $112. So that's it for this video. If you guys liked it,
make sure to drop a like and get subscribed by
hitting that circle button, right down there. Make sure you guys follow on Instagram, it's just TechSmartt. And check out these two
videos right after this, including the 'How Bad Is It?' playlist. See you guys next time..

the Samsung Galaxy fold 2 is looking
incredible and I'll be sharing all the details right after this if you knew hearin won't stay up to date
with the latest tech please don't forget to hit subscribe followed by the Bell so
the Galaxy fold had many issues initially but a report from SlashGear
revealed that industry insiders believe but we could see the Galaxy fold 2 as
early as April 2020 let's go digital have also discovered a
patent filed by Samsung in this device looks incredible the new patent filed by
Samsung reveals affordable device with a different form factor than the original
this is of course more of a Galaxy Tab but with a folding form factor the
Galaxy fold 2 is expected to be a clamshell based folding display that
folds from top to bottom unlike its predecessor the same folding is the 2019
razor but we get a much larger display with a better aspect ratio for media and
gaming the patent also reveals a full-screen display when unfolded
we've got no notches and no punch holes which suggests we could be looking at an
in display camera given that this is going to be another luxury product from
Samsung that this would make sense the whole design of this folding device is
aimed at having a tablet with portability it will be designed to fit
comfortably in pockets but still provide a large enough display the device can
also be used in the form of a mini laptop by resting at the bottom on the
surface and folding the top part up we then have a display on the top portion
in a keyboard on the bottom previous reports are stating that Samsung is
going to be using ultra-thin glass on flexible devices instead of the
transparent polymide currently used that is vulnerable to scratches and damage
one feature commonly complained about on the original fold is the absence of an S
Pen unfortunately due to the transparent polymide and S Pen would not be suitable
but it may be the case that ultra-thin glass could actually be durable enough
for use of a stylus when it comes to Hardware inspects it will be very
dependent on release date but given it's a luxury product it will no doubt
receive the latest snapdragon system-on-chip with some generous RAM
and storage configurations the patent makes no mention of cameras but I would
imagine we get some things satisfactory but not over-the-top the
device will be aimed at heavy media users and gamers so photography it won't
be as is important unfortunately we don't have any solid leaks when it comes
to launch or the price and given that this is a patent it doesn't confirm the
device is ever going to make it to market either it does however seem a
sensible design that could take off if done correctly we know that despite
their initial issues however Samsung are continuing to push their foldable
devices we've already had the launch of the new W20 5G folding phone well it was
expected that this was also going to be a clam shell type folding phone it
turned out that it was just an improved version of the original fold and
probably what should have actually been the original fold the main improvement
in the W20 5G was that the device had less of a gap when folded and had a
white edge instead of the plain metal this was of course to help stop debris
making its way inside the device in damaging the display and on top of this
it also uses the newest snapdragon 855 plus system on chip foldable devices are
still very much in their infancy however and being luxury products with such high
price tags we're yet to see if they will take off as they find cheaper ways to
manufacture these devices we will see some price drops but we're still going
to be many years away from them being somewhat affordable of course if any
more information comes to light about the new folding phone I'll be sharing
with you guys straight away but as always I'd like to know your thoughts in
the comments what do you think of this folding phone from Samsung is there
anyone out there waiting to get one or is there another foldable device that
you prefer but thanks for watching the video if you liked it smash a thumbs up
if you didn't hit the thumbs down twice and I'll see you guys in the next one

Meet Emily. Emily has been renting an apartment with her
wife Olivia for the past seven years. Recently, Olivia has made it clear to Emily
that she wants to move to the suburbs where there are better schools for their twin girls. While this appeals to Emily, there’s just
one problem. She’s just not sure whether or not she should
buy or rent a home. What should they do? Luckily for Emily, we’ve got her covered.

The first thing Emily needs to understand
is that buying a home is often more expensive than renting one. Emily is stunned. Why is that? Well, the reason is simple. In addition to a hefty down payment, large
monthly mortgage costs and the one-time closing fees associated with buying a home, you’ll
also have to foot the expenses your landlord is currently covering, like maintenance, property
taxes, and insurance. As you can imagine, this can lead to a pretty
expensive monthly payment relative to renting. Plus, residential real estate isn’t really
a very good of an investment. From 1890-1990, home prices on average only
increased about 0.3% a year after inflation. To put this in context, the U.S stock market
returns about 7% a year after inflation on average. This huge difference allows a renter to build
wealth more easily than a buyer. All the renter needs to do is take the cash
they’d save by renting and invest it with a robo-advisor for a 7% post inflation return.

If that sounds difficult, don’t worry, our
two videos “How to Invest” and “401(k) and IRA 101”, will teach you everything
you need to know. By now, rather understandably, Emily is confused. Everyone has always told her that buying a
home is a great move. Were they all just wrong? The response is simple. Of course not. Homes do have value: their loan interest is
tax-deductible, they can provide a stable place to raise a family, and they can provide
their owners with flexibility and a strong sense of pride. The trick is to avoid deluding yourself into
thinking buying a home is always a slam-dunk financial decision. It’s just more complicated than that. That’s why we highly recommend calculating
the financial tradeoffs using our recommend calculator. That way, you’ll be able to understand the
full scope of the situation and make an informed decision. Hopefully you and Emily now better understand
the rent vs. buy decision. Be sure to check out our next video, which
covers the basics of mortgages, and be sure to check out our website, where you can find
great real estate agents, mortgages, and more educational content..

Welcome to the first episode of the new series
#Which one’s better? Rafal suggested this name in his comment and won a PS4 console. Come on; turn it around the right way so we can see the front. That’s perfect, look at this beautiful bow! And you also get a pretty good game to go with it. Great job Rafal! Was it a good idea to organise a competition in youtube’s comment section? In all fairness, probably one of my worst, but I’ll try to make up for it! But let’s talk about that later. For now, let's start the first episode. So what is it going to be about? I’m going to compare smartphones! That would be incredibly boring, if I didn't compare… iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge! Let’s start with something simple.

Which one fits your hand better? iPhone, I think. In my opinion it’s designed to fit your hand well. Samsung feels more secure, but I still prefer the iPhone and because I’m a woman I can’t really logically explain my choice to you. But definitely iPhone. I think it has to be the Samsung. Nope, that's a flawed idea. The first thing they do is look at the brand. After that their thoughts just follow the general views out there. For this test to give us objective opinions, it has to be blind! It seems really slippery when you touch it.

It has really rough edges so it’s much harder to hold in your hand and use It would totally work as a beer bottle opener I don’t think I would like it. Nope, definitely not, I’m convinced. I think this one feels much more comfortable to touch. But as for me this one is a bit too big I think this one really fits your hand better It fits your hand much better I really don’t know which one to choose, but I’d probably go for the right one It just feels so nice when you touch it I would have picked this phone But you won't open a beer bottle with it And that’s definitely a good thing, since phones are slightly different from bottle openers.

For example, they have a screen. Whether they’ll get scratched or not depends on the material they’re made of, and their coating. But let’s not fool ourselves here; it’s all just a matter of time. Same thing goes for falls. Whether our screen will break or not, is for the bigger part, just a matter of luck. That’s why I’m skipping the crash tests Not just because I only have one of each, but also since it seems that they’re still perfectly usable. On that day, the sun was exceptionally kind to both of our smartphones. I set both displays to full brightness and… after looking at them live, I have to say that iPhone performed a bit better. And since we’re talking about looking…

Cameras. The manual mode will satisfy the most demanding users. Just like women will appreciate a lengthy foreplay. But even though the effects of both can be fantastic. In most cases, we simply don’t have time for either. So I set both cameras to auto mode and unexpectedly found a talented model to test them on in the park. The results of this spontaneously arranged photo session show… Well, just have a look for yourself, what they really show. Ok, time for a landscape shot. Beautiful autumn leaves I’m so original right? But, since you’ve seen millions of pictures of autumn leaves already, it will be easier for you to judge which camera comes up with a better image.

It’s also easy to see that in the highest resolution setting, the Samsung leaves you with an image in a 16:9 format whereas the iPhone 6S in a 4:3 format. What’s better? Let me think about it… My eyes sparkle! Especially in the case of the iPhone, which uses the screen to provide additional light when taking selfie. Samsung on the other hand smoothens your face and takes wider photos I even managed to fit a piece of Maciek on mine. Let’s just make the challenge harder and take a bottom-up selfie, which usually means crappier light conditions and… I can move on to the problem, which bothers the users of both presented smartphones… A problem of the sticking out camera objectives.

As the independent research of the scientists from Nowhere Univeristy tells us this problem makes it difficult to fit your phone in the pocket of your super skinny trousers. I decided to verify their hypothesis in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible. The conclusion is… Women have surprisingly shallow trouser pockets. And men Even for those wearing skinny trousers, a sticking out objective is really not a problem. Let’s get back to some more creative tests. A picture is worth a thousand words. And a moving image is worth even more. Maybe that’s why we like to make movies so much? But a shaking video… is like two guys on a tandem bike not everyone wants to see it.

In theory Galaxy S6 should be better at stabilizing the image, since it’s equipped with the optical stabilization tool lacking in the iPhone 6S. But if my choices were based on theory I would have never chosen to ride a tandem bike with a guy wearing a pink helmet. Let me pick a more serious topic the passage of time. Too many things in our lives happen too fast. So fast, in fact, that we are unable to capture them.

Fortunately, we have slow motion. iPhone is able to record 240 frames per second. whereas Samsung can only do half of that. Remember though, that the more frames you shoot in, the more light you need. And you’ll have to come to terms with decreasing quality. Other useful functions? There you go! iPhone has 3D touch Samsung comes with Edge. Both solutions have their advantages and can’t really be compared. We can however, compare the sound.

Especially, the built in speakers. Are they loud enough to drive our fellow passengers on public transport mad? Nope! They’re not even able to draw their attention! Conclusions? Both phones are way too quiet. Feeling pretty bummed about this, so bummed, in fact that I just want to leave. That’s it, I’m leaving. So what else is bad? The last 5% of the battery and a question that probably each of us has asked, at some point. How many minutes can we spend chatting away on those 5%? Hi, hey, so glad you called. How are you feeling? A bit tired after work, you know.

But I think it’s getting better, I’m getting used to it. I’ve just started working on my nails and I decided to call you. No way, you know I’ve literally just started too? See, I always pick the right moment! Both phones are working in the battery save mode. 24.5 minutes! That’s how many minutes you can chat away on iPhones last 5%. Samsung only lost 2% of its battery life in that time. It’s easy to calculate that in the case of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, 5% of the battery allows you to chat away for at least an hour. No one is going to believe you that you have to go because your phones battery is dying.

It’s going to die eventually though, and will have to be charged. Let’s assume that you only have 5 minutes to charge your phone. In this case, the Galaxy S6 Edge will make it up to 9%. The iPhone 6s on the other hand, will make it only up to 5%. The Samsung can also be charged in a wireless way. So after you buy the wireless charger you’ll figure out that it’s much slower than the standard one. In fact, about 3 times slower. Do you also think I haven’t yet tested the most important feature? Of course! How could I forget to test which of the two vibrates louder.

Samsung vibrates louder. Ok, since we’re done with this one, let’s test something that hasn’t been tested before. The intuitiveness. This task requires to give the phones to someone really young. Yes And… the same person should test both phones. I asked Ivo to change the display background in both phones. On iPhone he managed to… switch on the torch As for the Samsung, he managed to turn on… a game. Conclusions? For this test to make any sense I need to pass the phone to someone older. Not this one. Hmmm, bugger! Well… it seems I can’t make it. It’s not like this and not like that either. Now I'ts clear! Those are simply not intuitive phones at all. And you know I'm right. Delicious! And where is the technical specification? There is plenty of that online, which you can read, but I really couldn’t care less about it. If you’re upset there weren’t any technical details and standard tests in this video, you’re very welcome to express your anger in the comments section below.

A website adress is going to appear on your screen just about now. God, it’s huge! You can either take a note of it, or simply click on the link in the description below and vote – either for this phone, or that one. You should of course vote only by following your heart.
Not reason. Because if you were voting following reasin, you would have voted for the phone you would want to win because by voting you’re taking part in a competition, where the phone that wins the vote is the prize. Complicated? Of course not! Just open the link and you can find everything you need to know on the website. You have a whole week to do this. From today, until the 28th of October, inclusive To decide which of these two is better Answer one simple question, vote, take part in the competition and meet me on the 4th of November in Media Markt to pick up your prize.

From a beautiful woman, or a beautiful man. This still has to be decided, so you don’t really know what you’re in for. Neither do I – and that’s beautiful..

Hi everyone. This is your Tampa Bay
Realtor Lance Mohr and in this video I want to go over 2 important tips that
you must know and understand before you buy a new home. I do understand that
people don't buy homes every day and you may have bought homes before but maybe
you've never bought in a new home and things are always changing in the new
home process and how things are being done so the first tip I want to give you
is when you're walking through a model helman where you're walking through an
inventory home and you're looking at these homes in let's say yours is going
to be the exact same floor plan it may not be exactly like the model or it may
not be exactly like the inventory home that you walk through now give you an
example and this just happened to a client of mine she was buying a home and
what happened the Builder made a change to how things were done in the model so
they moved the air hado her back a little bit and she thought she was going
to have a very deep linen closet but when they did that the winning closet
wasn't quite so deep and she was really annoyed about this for good
understanding she thought when she went in and looked at the model home that her
linen closet was going to be that deep there were a couple other things as well
and I've seen this happen over the years so understand there can be changes in
modifications and the Builder rep the sales rep doesn't know what's important
to everybody so if certain things are important to you if the depth of the
linen closet is important to you or the way certain things are configured just
make sure you ask the sales rep because they might not have the we're about to
be telling every single buyer that looks or potential buyer that's looking at
their model home or looking in an inventory home that changes were made
all right now that leads me to my second tip and this is a very important tip a
lot of people when they are buying a new home they're going to have different
stages that they meet the construction manager
and they're gonna look at their home well one of the important stages is
what's called the pre drywall some builders call it the pre drywall some
builders call it the rough-in but it's before the drywall goes up well of
course you're going to want to look around you're gonna want to make sure
that you're not seeing a bunch of really crummy wood or not it would and stuff
like this but you're also gonna want to walk through make sure that what is
important to you is what you're getting so let me give you an example let's say
you're walking into the master bedroom shower and you're expecting or you want
the showerhead on one side you're expecting it to be on that side you need
to make sure you pay attention to that detail that it is over there because
it's going to be very very hard for the Builder to want to go back even if
they've made a mistake to want to go back and rip apart the entire shower I'm
not saying they should but I'm just giving you a tip look for stuff like
this if you're certain if you're in a master bedroom closet and you measured
it out and you're seeing that let's just say it's 8 feet deep and that's really
important to you you want to make sure you bring your tape measure with you and
you measure that or a linen closet or other things you want to really pay
attention now a lot of times I'll do walkthroughs for buyers because maybe
they're out of state and what I'll do is I'll do it on skype them so I'll get
them on skype burn or something else by usually you Skype and we'll walk through
the whole entire home but you need to make sure if you're out of state and
you're having your real estate agent do this for you or the construction manager
whomever you need to make sure you they you tell them what's important to you
and then it is done correct because once they do everything folks it's going to
be real hard for them to turn the corner mistakes happen and you want to catch it
before the drywall goes up before the homes complete so I hope these tips are
a value I hope this never happens to you but it does happen out there it's rare
but I do not want it to happen to you so want to give you these tips if you have
any questions or concerns don't hesitate to give me a call if you're looking at
buying a home in the tampa area we'd love to work with you just reach out to
me i'll put my contact information below and if you like these videos don't
forget to subscribe to my channel and hit the bell and you'll be notified in
my new videos have a wonderful day you

The brand new iPhone Xs Max. Apple's latest attempt at selling the same
thing over and over again, is here…this time with a couple new backgrounds, and a
slightly larger screen size. Is it worth your money? I've systematically durability tested about
100 different flagship phones over the past few years, and it's time to see if Apple's
gold Xs Max is durable. Let's get started. [Intro] So far, things look pretty much the same,
just a larger iPhone X, which is cool. Screen real-estate is important. Inside the box we get our usual lightning
port headphones, and a short lightning to USB charging cable. But this time around, Apple has decided not
to include any dongles in the box. Why though? It's pretty simple actually. When comparing 2 dongles side by side, if
I wanted to bulk manufacture a USB-C headphone dongle, it would cost me about $0.39 each
– super cheap. It would be pretty safe to assume that the
Apple dongle costs about the same, since they have the same materials and do basically the
same thing…but, it doesn't.

Apple gets massive royalties from third party
manufacturers because their lightning port is proprietary. So, why would Apple include a $0.30 accessory
in the box when they can bleed a $5 royalty out of you later…even if you don't buy from
Apple directly? Last year, Apple sold over 2 million iPhones. That's a lot of potential dongle sales. The reason Apple removed all the ports from
their phones and laptops is because the 23 different dongles they sell on their website
are basically pure profit, and everyone still needs to buy them. Apple claimed that the iPhone Xs has the most
durable glass ever in a smartphone.

Let's see if the scratch resistance has changed
at all. It's pretty safe to assume that glass is glass,
and glass breaks. My Mohs scale of hardness will let us know
how scratchable it is. We've seen plastic phone screens scratch at
a level 3. Glass phones would start scratching at a level
6. And sapphire crystal displays start scratching
at a level 9. No surprises here when the glass starts scratching
at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7. It's important not to trust Apple's marketing
jargon. This new iPhone screen will scratch just as
easy as your last iPhone. Grab a screen protector. There is a thin layer of plastic between the
glass and the metal frame of the phone, which is a nice little impact absorption layer. I'll do a drop test later, but glass is glass,
so I'm pretty sure we all know how that video's going to end up. There's no home button or fingerprint scanner
on the phone this time around. The front facing 7 megapixel camera and face
ID are both protected by the same front glass.

The earpiece grille is made from metal and
it's not going anywhere. It's pretty secure and won't fall out on it's
own. One thing I am a huge fan of is Apple's stainless
steel frame. Gold coloring might not be your thing of course,
but the weight of stainless steel and the durability that comes with it is impressive. Stainless is harder than aluminum and more
difficult to scratch. It can still get scratched of course, but
the sound, and the damage inflicted will be less on a steel iPhone than an aluminum iPhone…which
is a good thing. Apple has included a dual SIM card tray with
a little rubber ring around the top to keep water out for that ip68 rating. Still no expandable memory slot, but Apple's
never had one, so iOS users don't know what they're missing.

The buttons are also made from metal and can't
be removed from the frame. Stainless steel also conducts less heat than
aluminum, so it'll usually feel cold to the touch every time you grab it. It's good for that premium external feel,
but bad for the internal processor heat dissipation. I'm still a huge fan of the mute switch. I feel like every phone needs one of these. The volume buttons are also made from metal. Down at the bottom of the phone we still have
no headphone jack. Apple owns both wireless AirPods and Beats,
so of course they would prefer if you went wireless.

Apple kind of creates a problem and then charges
you for the solution…incredibly good business plan, but bad news for your wallet. Apple didn't become the first trillion dollar
company by being generous. Speaking of lack of generosity, if you crack
the back glass on your iPhone Xs Max, it will cost a whopping $599 to replace. That risk, for something as fragile as glass,
makes Apple's glass phones the most cosmetically fragile and delicate pieces of technology
on the planet. A replacement back glass for a Samsung phone
is around $30 – huge difference. If you've already given Apple all of your
money, I'd dbrand the phone with a case. No reason to give them free advertising as
well. Now for my favorite part…Apple says they're
all about those premium materials, which is great, and for the most part they do a pretty
good job.

But Apple is still bragging on their website
about using sapphire crystal on their camera lens to protect the dual 12 megapixel cameras. Sapphire crystal would be extraordinary if
it was pure sapphire Remember, glass scratches at a level 6. Sapphire should resist scratching until a
level 8 or 9, just shy of diamonds at a level 10. Apple's impure sapphire, as you can see, starts
scratching at a level 6, the same as glass. This Tissot watch though, built with a pure
sapphire face, does not scratch at a level 6.

Back to the iPhone Xs Max camera lens, we
see more scratching with a level 7 pick. Also in line with what glass would be doing. The sapphire Tissot though, is still scratch
proof, even at that same level 7. On the Max camera lens using a level 8 pick
where sapphire should start scratching, we see another mark. Taking that same level 8 pick back to the
Tissot, we finally see some face scratching. In my opinion, if Apple's impure sapphire
isn't doing what sapphire is expected to do, they shouldn't be calling it “sapphire”. Let me know what you think in the comments. At least the Tissot watches are always consistent. As long as Apple keeps using their inferior
sapphire, I'll keep buying more watches to show what premium actually looks like. Now for the burn test. Apple's a pretty fascinating company to watch. They get away with making beautiful, yet cosmetically
fragile and super expensive to repair smartphones, where you have to buy back basic functionality
like some EA Game Loot Box.

You're like, 'Whoa, Jerry, tell us how you
really feel.' Alright. I will. It's like Tim Cook walked on stage with a
fully functional Galaxy Note 9, snapped his Thanos fingers to remove half of the cool
features, raised the price, and we got left with an iPhone Xs Max. Maybe next year Apple will start leading an
innovation again, but I'm not getting my hopes up. There are better profit margins with dongles. The 6.5 inch super retina display lasted over
a minute on my burn test, which is pretty cool – just like the Galaxy S8 a few years
ago. And now for the bend test. Every phone is not created equally. Some snap in half and end up on my Shelf of
Shame. Apple has done an incredibly good job of making
structurally sound phones the last couple of years. And as much as I would like to see this phone
snap in half…it does not. Apple has once again constructed an incredibly
solid and structurally sound device…unless you end up cracking the back glass of course.

That extra $600 charge will test anyone's
sanity, so be ready. The iPhone Xs Max passes my durability test. But, is it the cure to unhappiness? Probably not. I'd say skip this one and spend your extra
cash on memories and experiences. Your current phone is probably fine, and it's
not worth the marginal upgrade. I do have an extra Xs Max though, and I definitely
don't want it for myself. I'll give it away over on my Twitter, so come
hang out with me over there. You can slap a skin on it and pretend it's
an Android. Or just sell it to a poor soul who doesn't
know better things are out there, and keep the money for yourself. Hit that subscribe button. Thanks a ton for watching, and I'll see you
around..
